AN INTERN

I am a fifteen year old student who has been on work experience at e-create from April 7th to April 11th for school. I have enjoyed my time at e-create a lot and I’ve learned many skills that probably will be useful to me going forward. The working environment has also been perfect for me and really did create a positive experience.

WHAT I'VE LEARNED

During the time I spent at e-create I acquired many new skills that I didn’t have before. I, for example, got some basic knowledge in the HTML-programming language which is often used for websites. The thing I spent most of my time working with at e-create though was with the program Adobe Illustrator. Before coming here to work, I had never even touched the program nor heard of it in any memorable way at all. But now, after having worked here, I have gained knowledge on something I never thought I would.

With the program I learned plenty of fun stuff. I, for example, learned how to transform objects and how to apply different effects to them, like turning a regular 2D object into 3D and how to give them outlines and fun colors. On the topic of color I also got to know how to paint and make my own arrows out of the objects I made myself. Beside that I learned a bunch of different shortcuts that made me able to work more efficiently and with more ease.

I took in all of this and so much more that this isn’t really even grasping the surface. This week really gave me an insight into the world of design and I’m very thankful for this experience.
